Drive and battery

A brushless three-phase electric motor is integrated directly into the wheel. It produces 1.7 kW and provides 90 Nm of torque.

The energy comes from a Honda Mobile Power Pack e: with lithium-ion technology. The battery weighs 10.2 kg, can be taken out and is charged from a household socket using the external charger.

Equipment and brakes

The LCD display shows speed, range, riding mode and battery level. At the front there is an inner compartment for a 500 ml bottle, plus a standard rear carrier and a type A USB socket. A 35-litre top box is available as an option.

The headlight and tail light are LED. A disc brakes the front and a drum the rear, linked by the CBS combined braking system. The tyres measure 90/90-12 at the front and 100/90-10 at the rear.

Who is the EM1 e: for?

The Honda EM1 e: is aimed at people who want to cover short distances in the city with zero local emissions. Because the battery can be removed, you do not need a power socket where you park: you simply charge it in your flat. If you often ride on country roads, you should bear in mind the top speed of 45 km/h.
