An electric motorcycle runs quietly and with zero local emissions. With the WN7, Honda offers an electric motorcycle for town and country roads, and with the CUV e: and EM1 e: two electric scooters for everyday urban use. Here you can see power, range and charging options at a glance.

Electric motorcycles and e-scooters draw their energy from a battery instead of a tank. They produce no local emissions and are considerably quieter than models with a combustion engine. Depending on the model, they are charged at home, at a wallbox or at fast-charging stations.
Range determines use. For trips in town and the suburbs, a smaller battery is enough; for cross-country rides you need more capacity and fast charging. Before buying, therefore, check your typical commute and the charging options at home or at work.
Which electric motorcycle suits you depends on how you use it. The WN7, with 18 kW and, according to dealer data, a top speed of 129 km/h, is built for cross-country trips. The CUV e:, with 83 km/h and more than 70 km of range, suits town and suburbs, the EM1 e: with 45 km/h short trips in your neighbourhood.
The driving licence rule for the WN7: you can ride the 11 kW version with subcategory A1 and the 18 kW version with restricted category A; in the EU this corresponds to class A2. For the two electric scooters, the dealer will tell you the appropriate licence category.
The WN7 adopts the slim, futuristic design of the EV FUN Concept study. According to Honda, its permanently installed lithium-ion battery is good for more than 130 km. At a CCS2 fast-charging station, the battery needs half an hour to go from 20 to 80 per cent; at a 6 kW AC wallbox, a full charge takes less than 3 hours.
If you have a wallbox at home, you can charge fully overnight and start the day with full range; for longer trips, fast-charging stops can be planned.
The CUV e: is an electric scooter with 6 kW, a flat floor and a low step-through. It achieves more than 70 km of range, can be charged at home or on the go and has a reverse assist for tight parking spaces and underground car parks, as well as a 7-inch TFT.
The EM1 e: was the first Honda electric two-wheeler for customers in Europe. With 1.7 kW and 45 km/h, it is a light city scooter that draws its energy from the Honda Mobile Power Pack.
On the WN7 the battery is permanently installed; it is charged at a fast-charging station with CCS2 or at a wallbox. Have a wallbox at home installed by a qualified professional and check in advance what power your home connection allows.
Honda describes the EM1 e: as a first step on the road to carbon neutrality, which Honda is aiming for across its entire motorcycle range in the 2040s. The CUV e: runs with zero local emissions, and its flat floor with low step-through makes getting on and off easier.
The best way to find out how an electric drive feels is on a test ride. Honda Motorrad Zürich will also answer questions about charging, battery, range and leasing.
If you are new to two wheels, you can practise the basics at the MX-Academy first – away from traffic and without a licence.
According to Honda, more than 130 km. At CCS2 fast-charging stations, charging from 20 to 80 per cent takes 30 minutes; at a 6 kW wallbox, charging from 0 to 100 per cent takes less than 3 hours.
The 11 kW version can be ridden with subcategory A1, the 18 kW version with restricted category A. Which version suits you is best clarified in a consultation with the dealer.
The CUV e: has 6 kW, reaches up to 83 km/h and offers more than 70 km of range. The EM1 e:, with 1.7 kW and 45 km/h, is designed for short city trips and works with the Honda Mobile Power Pack.
For the CUV e:, Honda mentions charging at home or on the go. The WN7 can be fully charged at a 6 kW AC wallbox in less than 3 hours. Which solution suits your garage is best discussed with the dealer.
For short and medium commutes, yes: the CUV e: offers more than 70 km of range. For longer cross-country distances, the WN7 with more than 130 km of range and fast-charging capability is the more suitable choice.
