Character: enduro competition with 450cc displacement
The CRF450RX builds on the CRF450R and has been specifically adapted for use away from the motocross track. The model shares its 449 cc displacement with the motocross version.
The CRF450RX is not allowed on the road, because as a competition motorcycle it is built for track and terrain. It is ridden in enduro competitions, on closed-off tracks and on land where riding is permitted.

Differences from the CRF450R motocross version
Instead of the motocross version's 19-inch rear wheel, the RX rolls on an 18-inch rear wheel with enduro tyres. ECU mapping and suspension set-up are specific to the RX: while the CRF450R is tuned for precision on the MX track, the RX is aimed at endurance in cross-country.
Hand guards, a side stand and a larger skid plate come as standard. The weight is 109 kg, one kilogram more than the CRF450R.
Enduro competitions cover longer distances over changing surfaces, often with timed special tests. For this, hand guards and skid plate protect hands and engine, and the side stand makes breaks and work in the paddock easier.
Technology of the 450cc enduro for 2027
For model year 2027, Honda has revised the entire 450cc model range, making it lighter, faster and more powerful. The new suspension philosophy aims at even control over the full travel, with the set-up differing from model to model. The differences between the RX and the motocross version therefore lie mainly in the rear wheel, tyres, set-up and equipment.
Who should consider the CRF450RX?
The CRF450RX is aimed at experienced enduro riders with high demands and competitive ambitions. The 450cc displacement calls for strength and clean technique.
If you want an easier start, the CRF250RX is the more manageable alternative. If you mainly ride on the motocross track, the CRF450R is the better choice.
