Character and use of the CRF300L
With 285 mm of ground clearance and a seat height of 880 mm, the CRF300L is clearly designed for off-road use. A lightweight steel frame, a tapered aluminium swingarm and a forged aluminium triple clamp save weight. Honda has revised the suspension with a bearing-mounted upper mount and adapted damping front and rear.
For forest trails, gravel and short everyday trips, this is a manageable combination. The tank holds 7.8 litres, which suits day rides rather than long stages.

Engine and technology
The liquid-cooled DOHC single has four valves and 286 cc; it reaches 20.1 kW at 8500 rpm and delivers 26.6 Nm at 6500 rpm. It complies with the Euro 5 standard and reaches a maximum of 132 km/h. The anti-hopping clutch is easy to operate.
Two-channel ABS is on board, and you can switch off the rear channel for off-road riding. New are the LED headlight and LED indicators as well as a gear position indicator in the digital cockpit, which also shows rpm, fuel level and time.
Variant and driving licence
From the 2025 model year, the Honda CRF300L is in stock with 20.1 kW. Category A restricted (A2 in the EU) is therefore sufficient for it. If you want more wind protection and range, the CRF300 Rally offers a fairing and a 12.8-litre tank.
Who is the CRF300L for?
The CRF300L is suitable for off-road beginners, for riders with category A restricted and for anyone looking for a lightweight motorcycle for road and farm track. Try out the seat height of 880 mm before you buy. The low weight helps when you have to turn the motorcycle round off-road or lift it up again after it has fallen over.
