Character and use of the PCX125
The PCX125 is designed for everyday riding in the city and its suburbs. With a seat height of 763 mm, it is easy to get on; according to Honda, the 8.1-litre tank gives a range of up to 385 km.
The SMART Key activates the ignition and unlocks the fuel cap, the seat and the optional SMART Top Case. There are 30.4 litres of storage space under the seat, and a USB-C charging socket sits in the glovebox.

Engine, brakes and traction control
The liquid-cooled eSP+ four-stroke with an overhead camshaft (SOHC), four valves and 125 cc displacement produces 9.2 kW and 11.7 Nm. The top speed is 98 km/h.
At the front, a 220 mm disc with a twin-piston calliper does the braking, and at the rear there is also a 220 mm disc. Added to this are ABS and Honda's HSTC traction control, which monitors grip at the rear wheel, displays interventions and can be switched off. Honda has revised the rear suspension.
PCX125 or PCX125 DX: the differences
The base model has a wide LCD display with all the important information. The PCX125 DX comes with a 5-inch colour TFT display that is easy to read even in sunlight, and with the Honda RoadSync smartphone connection with turn-by-turn navigation.
On the DX, an illuminated four-way switch on the left handlebar also lets you control calls and music through a Bluetooth headset in your helmet. At the rear, the DX has higher-quality shock absorbers with an external reservoir.
Driving licence and who the Honda PCX125 suits
For the PCX125, subcategory A1 of the driving licence is sufficient, which covers motorcycles of up to 125 cc and a maximum of 11 kW. You may just as well ride it with category A or with restricted A; the latter is known in the EU as A2.
The PCX125 suits commuters looking for an economical scooter with plenty of storage space. If you want navigation and your smartphone in the cockpit, choose the DX version.
