The Honda CB125R – a sporty 125cc motorcycle in naked bike style

The Honda CB125R is a naked bike for the road with a slim, pared-back design. The engine makes full use of the 11 kW permitted in subcategory A1. For the suspension and brakes, Honda relies on a Showa upside-down fork and a radially mounted brake calliper.

Character: naked bike for town and country roads

The CB125R shows technology instead of bodywork. The round LED headlight with daytime running light defines the front, and the minimalist design makes the model stand out on the street.

The four-valve engine only reaches its peak output at 10,000 rpm and therefore suits a sporty riding style. With a weight of 120 kg and a top speed of 105 km/h, the CB125R is at home in town as well as on country roads.

Mounted at the front of the tubular steel frame is a Showa SFF-BP, a 41 mm upside-down fork. At the front, a radially mounted four-piston calliper acts on a floating 296 mm disc, at the rear a single-piston calliper.

The two-channel ABS is controlled by an IMU. The 5-inch colour TFT display shows speed, fuel level and consumption as well as the selected gear.

Driving licence, accessories and target group

A driving licence for subcategory A1 (displacement up to 125 cc, output at most 11 kW) is sufficient for the CB125R. You may also ride the model with categories A and restricted A, the latter known in the EU as A2.

Among the accessories, Honda offers the Easy-Kit pillion seat bag with 15 litres, expandable to 22 litres, as well as heated grips. The CB125R suits beginners who are looking for a sporty naked bike and want to use the full output with A1.
