Character: a trial motorcycle for demanding terrain
Trial demands a feel for throttle and balance: obstacles like rocks, steps or logs are tackled slowly and with control. Scoring is based on penalty points for every time a foot touches the ground. The Cota 260 is built for exactly this purpose.
It is aimed at riders who also tackle difficult terrain and are looking for a fully fledged trial motorcycle.

Engine and exhaust of the Cota 260
Like the Cota 301RR and the 4Ride, the Cota 260 also uses a four-stroke engine. It has a displacement of 258.9 cc and fuel injection. The Cota 260 uses the same silencer as the Cota 301RR; according to Honda, this increases power in the mid-range and at higher revs.
Suspension, frame and protection
Like the Cota 301RR, the Cota 260 has a double-profile aluminium frame. The front Showa fork measures 39 mm in diameter and offers 158 mm of travel, while a Pro-Link system with a Showa shock works at the rear. Preload and compression are adjustable at both ends, and the ground clearance is 310 mm.
The forged aluminium side stand comes from the Cota 301RR; it sits close to the engine and folds back under the swingarm. An aluminium bash plate protects the underside of the engine and the lower frame rails. An optional Race Kit and LED headlight are available for racing.
Who is the Cota 260 right for?
The Cota 260 suits trial riders looking for a trial motorcycle with slightly less displacement than the Cota 301RR. If you prefer longer rides with a seat, the 4Ride is the more comfortable alternative. If you want to take part in competitions, you can add the optional Race Kit to the Cota 260 for racing.
