Character: adventure tourer for long distances
The tank holds 24.8 litres, and the fairing directs the airflow past the rider's upper body. The windscreen can be adjusted in height in five positions. Heated grips as well as ACC and USB sockets are on board, and according to Honda the seat is 8 % larger and thicker than before.
At the front runs a 19-inch wheel with a tyre in the size 110/80-19. Together with the lower seat height, this makes the Africa Twin Adventure Sports more geared towards road stages than the Africa Twin with its 21-inch front wheel.

Engine, suspension and electronics
From 1084 cc, the liquid-cooled twin-cylinder draws 75 kW, and compared with its predecessor Honda quotes 7 % more torque. As standard, the Showa EERA suspension is electronically adjustable front and rear: in the settings soft, medium and hard, or individually. The rear spring preload can also be changed while riding.
A 6-axis IMU controls cornering ABS, cornering lights, the seven-level HSTC and the three-level wheelie control. In addition to URBAN, TOUR, GRAVEL and OFF-ROAD, two USER modes are available. The 6.5-inch TFT touchscreen connects via Bluetooth and supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
