Use: racetrack and country road
The Fireblade SP is designed for sporty riding right up to the racetrack. Top speed is 299 km/h, and the tank holds 16.5 litres.
On the road, you benefit above all from the electronics, which can be adapted in many levels to the road surface and your ability. According to Honda, the carbon parts made of 3K prepreg correspond to the material of the RC213V.

Engine with technology from the RC213V
The 1000 cc DOHC inline four produces 160 kW at 14,500 rpm. According to Honda, bore, stroke and the friction-reducing measures correspond to the RC213V, complemented by titanium connecting rods and forged aluminium pistons.
Airbox, intake ports and the 4-2-1 exhaust system with titanium silencer have been revised. Together with changes to the cylinder head and gearing, this is intended to deliver more power in the mid-range and more pull when accelerating out of corners. A quickshifter is standard.
Electronics, Öhlins suspension and Brembo brakes
Three riding modes form the basic settings. The HSTC traction control works in nine levels, wheelie control and engine braking are adjustable, and the ABS offers the SPORT and TRACK modes as well as cornering-dependent control. Rear Lift Control counteracts the rear wheel lifting under braking.
The semi-active Öhlins Smart EC suspension consists of a 43 mm NPX upside-down fork and a TT36 shock, and the OBTi interface provides three preset modes. At the front, radially mounted Brembo Stylema monobloc calipers act on 330 mm discs.
Vertical winglets and an air duct through the steering head are derived from the RC213V. You make all settings via a 5-inch TFT display.
